A goalkeeper needs the ability to structure his impulses and the intelligence to chose their action responsibly empassioned leadership with tactical nowse are so beneficial .

I only go in goal when I'm really unfit and a burst of speed causes me to yak up for a few minutes.

I have occasionally been forced to play in goal and can confirm that anyone who volunteers for it is nuts

Re: Randolph
If you accept 1985's comment that most good goalkeepers are a bit nuts then Hugh is in fact either Gordon Banks or Lev Yashin.

im not sure it's only Adrian who is psychologically ill equipped

Re: Randolph
He was good at his past clubs especially when he played in SPL i think he should have been Ireland's number one but looks shaky at the moment. Ok number two but never going to be more than that.

Re: RANDOLPH
We need both.and ADRIAN is psychologically I'll equipped to give us the 100℅ required by a top club.

Re: Randolph
He looks fairly limited and I can't see him pushing Adrian for the shirt, but I would imagine he's in far better shape confidence wise after the last couple of games. Did ok against Bournemouth and yesterday too. Very difficult to keep a talented No2 keeper because chances are so limited.

Re: Randolph
Looks OK to me and a good no 2 to Adrian, no need to spend money on a position we are OK in, better a striker IMO
